TRAVEL WRITING

Four Seasons Magazine Online, Features, Interviews, Guides
(Here’s one about ice caves in Whistler. Quick! They’re melting!)

Roads & Kingdoms, “A Change Is Gonna Come”
(Growing up, I spent my summers around the Sea Islands of South Carolina; but I knew almost nothing about the racist history of coastal capitalism and the white theft of Black-owned land that nearly destroyed Gullah and Geechee communities until I moved to Savannah and began to research the region. Several years later, in 2015, I reported this piece about property tax increases on Sapelo Island, GA, and their threat to the last remaining Geechee community in the country. Full transparency: I donated the fee I was paid for this story to the Sapelo Island Cultural and Revitalization Society.)

Paste Magazine, “Weekend Layover: Big Sur, California”

Paste Magazine, “Berlin’s Best Markets”
